The lush rainforests of British Columbia are calling and what a beautiful time to visit right in the heart of summer. Extra special because Lisa Greenbaum, Sangha Wellness Retreat Founder is teaming up with her very dear friend and fellow YTT Leader, Joy Keller for these incredible 4 days of rest and renewal. Satsang (group discussions) will be enriching and deep. Yoga practice will be body cleansing and soul satisfying. Living a true blend of the Yogic lifestyle on vacation. Lots of practice time coupled with lots of time to enjoy the surroundings and beautifully rich landscapes of Pender Island. This is set to be the vacation your mind and body have been longing for.

Included in this Package

This retreat offers the true Canadian cottage like feel. Cozy indoor spaces to curl up and read or journal, LOTS of outdoor space to do the same. Water view with a 2min. walk down to the beach path where we can catch some rays with plenty of space for Yoga and meditation.
We have TWO choices for accommodations based on your preference:
- Dorm style in the main house – shared accommodations (10 spaces). Set up as bunk beds with room for 6 in one room and 4 in the other. All bedding provided.
- Camping opportunity outside the main house (5 tent spaces). Must bring own tent, sleeping bag and other necessities.
As the retreat is located on an island, we need to work with the ferry schedule to time our arrivals and departures as there is generally only one ferry per day coming in from either Vancouver or Victoria. If you are coming in from another BC Island, please just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know what your schedule is and we will make that work.

Vancouver to Pender Island departs 10:10am arrives 12:25pm OR 2:45pm arrives 5:05pm. Please note the retreat starts at 6pm on Thursday. Departing on Sunday, Pender Island to Vancouver departs 7:10am arrives 8:37am OR departs 3:05pm arrives 5:15pm. Please note the retreat ends after morning practice on Sunday. Cost is $17.90 each way for walk-ons.
Victoria to Pender Island departs 2:35pm arrives 3:17pm on Thursday. Cost is $11.40 walk-on. Pender Island to Victoria on Sunday departs 7:10am arrives 8:37am OR 11:30am arrives 12:10pm OR 12:50pm arrives 1:34pm. Please note the retreat ends after morning practice on Sunday. Cost is free for your return trip only.
We highly encourage that you purchase your ferry tickets as soon as you can. There is a possibility they will sell out at this time of year.
What Else Do You Need to Know?
We will be following an Ayurvedic time clock with lights out by 10pm to awaken early in the morning (you will be setting your own alarm if you choose). Please note: nothing is mandatory on this retreat, you are the master of you. Yoga experience is not required, options will be provided for everyone as needed. We will be splitting men and women out to separate rooms in the shared dorm style space for those booking inside the main cabin.
Day 1 – Grounding
We begin at 6pm with a community meditation and intention setting followed by a yummy dinner and tea. We will close our first day with a Yin practice to release any tension from travel and set us off for a dreamy sleep.
Day 2 – Connection
Morning meditation begins at 7am followed by breakfast at 8am and quiet time for yourself. We will re-gather at 9:30am for a Satsang (group-discussion) inspired by Yoga philosophy: Exploring the Heart of Yoga, followed by a Yoga Practice. Lunch is next with the afternoon off to enjoy the surroundings. After dinner we will set up for a fire ceremony, letting go of what no longer serves us and sealing our intentions.
Day 3 – Balance
We follow the same morning as Day 2, with Satsang centred around Ayurveda and understanding our doshas for life balance. After our Yoga practice is lunch, after lunch we will enjoy a moderate hike, enjoying the cascading views of BC with time to relax before dinner with a quiet night to follow.
Day 4 – Harmony
In the Yogic way, we follow the same morning pattern. Satsang will be an open discussion on taking Yoga off the Mat with a Yoga practice to follow. Our retreat time concludes after practice with a light snack to take on the road.

Camping: $575 CAD Enjoy the full retreat (yoga practices + meals) but bring your own tent and sleeping bag and sleep under the stars. (5 spots)
Offsight: $425 CAD Enjoy the full retreat (yoga practices + meals) but stay off-sight. Accommodation NOT included. (3 spots)

Founder of Sangha Wellness Retreats. Lisa has a strong passion for fitness, yoga and movement, empowering her students through the practice of yoga and community. 2018 Canadian Presenter of the Year for canfitpro, and Optimyz Magazine’s top 100 Health and Fitness Influencers in Canada 2017-2020, Lisa has been teaching since 2001.
